So many miles of encouragement and enthusiasm! After 41 years of Cross Country and Track coaching excellence at Arrowhead High School, legendary Coach Mulrooney has retired. During his time at AHS, Mulrooney has served as the Boys Head CC Coach, Head Track & Field Coach and the Girls Head CC Coach.
Mike came to Arrowhead in the fall of 1980 as a math teacher and Head Boys CC and Track & Field coach. He coached the Boys CC program continuously until retirement. In that time, Arrowhead CC teams qualified for the WIAA State Tournament 28 times with four state championships, six second place finishes, and 16 top four finishes. Mike was also a key staff member for three WIAA state track & field team championships and one team runner-up. If you add his Arrowhead coaching contributions with the 6 years he spent coaching at Pardeeville High School, prior to coming to Arrowhead, Mike has contributed almost 100 seasons of coaching track or cross country in Wisconsin!
On behalf of the thousands of athletes and dozens of coaches who have been positively impacted by Mike Mulrooney we want to recognize his contributions and most importantly thank him for all his time, commitment, love and enthusiasm that he has given to the athletes of Wisconsin by creating the Mike Mulrooney Scholarship Fund.
